Good FOOD!

There has been a lot of yummy food involved in this week.
Wednesday was Giordano's; and though our pizza was burnt, it was still tasty.
Yesterday was Chipotle, and that, my dears, was indeed delicious.
Oh, and I had some pretty sweet pie, may I say that it was the BEST pie I have ever tasted.
Today was Panda Express, and that was delicious too.

This week has also been the week of bloody noses too.

Not like any of you really wanted to know that, or was interested in that information, I was just updating you on my life. Huzzah.

This weekend is a loverly one, too, if I do say so myself.
Today was a 1/2 day, and we were dismissed at 11 a.m.
I hung out with Josh.
And he went to a college audition at Concordia (the college, I might add, where the Matt West concert was 3 years ago... and I have a song by Mark Schultz that I will be posting later on...)
I also had VJ, which was pretty fun today.
Drove LB.
Yeah.

Tomorrow, Zach Bare is coming over to help me figure out the whole cd disk burning thing, because I need a disk burned for English. No, I am not inept at burning cd's. The cd burner is on the ghetto compy, and my iTunes music is on the good compy. It doesn't like it when I transfer the songs, even when I enable my iPod for disk use. It's quite obnoxious.

Then, on Sunday, I am chizzillin' with my boy. It shall be fun.

Monday I have a doctor's appointment, and then Katherine is coming over so we can figure out duet stuff for Solo & Ensemble.

AND THAT'S THE WEEKEND! w00t
I am very happy.
And tired.
But anyway...
Elaborating on the song thing as mentioned above (the Concordia thing)...
So when I went to Concordia to see Matt West with Sammy Skye, Mark Schultz was opening for him. And he told us about this song that he was writing called "Walking Her Home." It was SO cute, it was about this guy who starts dating this girl, and her dad wants him to bring her home safe and stuff... I think I even made a post about it with my old blog:
"...He also sang us part of a song that he is developing for his next album and it's called He Was Walking Her Home. It started as a boy and a girl going on their first date and the girl's dad told the guy to never leave her side or let her go. So then there was a chorus and the last verse was when they were in the nursing home. and she was like 92 and it says how she was outside the guys room and he had never left her and it was SOOOOO sweet and I can't wait til it comes out because I think it will be very sweet and tearful... anyway..."
Yeah... [[ reflective sigh ]]
So three years later, on a certain snow day (*cough cough* last Tuesday *cough cough* ), I called my Sammy Skye, and she told me that she heard it on the radio. And I bought the song off iTunes, and it is one of the most beautifully written songs I have ever heard in my lifetime. I heard it, and I began to cry.
So, on behalf of my tears, I present you with the lyrics to the song, "Walking Her Home":

Walking Her Home
~ Mark Schultz ~

Looking back,
He sees it all.
It was her first date the night he came to call.

Her dad said, “Son,
Have her home on time,
And promise me you’ll never leave her side.”
He took her to a show in town,
And he was ten feet off the ground.

He was walking her home,
And holding her hand.
Oh, the way she smiled it stole the breath right out of him.
Down that old road,
With the stars up above.
He remembers where he was the night he fell in love.
He was walking her home.

Ten more years and a waiting room,
At half past one,
And the doctor said, “Come in and meet your son.”

His knees went weak,
When he saw his wife.
She was smiling as she said, “He’s got your eyes.”
And as she slept he held her tight.
His mind went back to that first night.

He was walking her home,
And holding her hand.
Oh, the way she smiled it stole the breath right out of him.
Down that old road,
With the stars up above.
He remembers where he was the night he fell in love.
He was walking her home.

He walked her through the best days of her life,
Sixty years together and he never left her side.

A nursing home,
At eighty-five,
And the doctor said it could be her last night.
And the nurse said, “Oh
Should we tell him now?
Or should he wait until the morning to find out?”

But when they checked her room that night,
He was laying by her side.

Oh, he was walking her home,
And holding her hand.
Oh, the way she smiled when he said, “This is not the end.”
And just for a while, they were eighteen,
And she was still more beautiful to him than anything.
He was walking her home.
He was walking her home.

Looking back,
He sees it all.
It was her first date, the night he came to call.

Oh my goodness, I love that song. I urge you to look that song up on iTunes.
Lord, I am so happy.
Thank you for giving me everything.

It's all I've ever asked for,
And all I'll ever need.
L-O-V-E.
That's how it's spelled.

Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Everybody seemed like they were in quite a haze today.
And that was only at Oswego East.
I can't even imagine how it was at OHS.

Praying for the heaviness to be lifted,
Catch'a on the flipside,

Chasing Cars
~ Snow Patrol ~

We'll do it all,
Everything,
On our own.

We don't need
Anything,
Or anyone.

If I lay here;
If I just lay here,
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel.

Those three words
Are said too much;
They're not enough.

If I lay here;
If I just lay here,
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told.
Before we get too old,
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.

Let's waste time,
Chasing cars
Around our heads.

I need your grace,
To remind me
To find my own.

If I lay here;
If I just lay here,
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told.
Before we get too old,
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.

All that I am;
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes.
They're all I can see.

I don't know where,
Confused about how as well.
Just know that these things
Will never change for us at all.

If I lay here;
If I just lay here,
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Ready? Set. CHINESE FOOD!

Yum yum, Chinese food for my grandma's birthday!

Tonight's the night.
The night for the Turn-a-bout dance.

You know what's funny?
I'm actually kind of worried that what I've got planned won't go right.

Which is totally weird,
Because I'm almost 100% sure that even if everything was a disaster,
Josh wouldn't really mind it all that much.

Why?
I don't know.
Mayyyybe beecause he loooooooves me.

And that makes me happy and at peace.

[[ sigh of content ]]

I am in a good mood.
=)

And I can't wait for CHINESE FOOD!
